HERJ Hungarian Educational Research Journal (ISSN: 2064-2199, DOI-prefix: 10.14413) is a research journal focusing on actual ideas and themes in educational research. Its mission is to promote emerging researchers and established scholars in exchanging their results, views and opinions. Working for this mission, HERJ represents a comparative view in a Central European frame.
HERJ publishes thematic issues as well as research papers and book reviews four times a year (March, June, October, December). It welcomes initiations for not only new thematic issues but also theoretical and empirical studies. Papers proposed for publication will be double-blind peer-reviewed.
HERJ is an APC and submission charge free OA journal, published with the CC BY license. The journal allows the author(s) to hold the copyright without restrictions. The journal allows the author(s) to retain publishing rights without restrictions. HERJ accept only original publication, secondary publishing is not allowed. In case of supplement issues, secondary publishing can be accepted only if it is translated version of original publication.
It is a publication produced entirely by academic services and volunteer work. It is made possible by the support of the Doctoral Schools in education and HERA Hungarian Educational Research Association.

Open Access Statement
HERJ is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.
Blind, or Anonymous Peer Review
Content is reviewed by external reviewers and the author’s identity is unknown to the reviewer. A double-blind peer-review process is where both the reviewer and the author remain anonymous throughout the process.
